About Quality Wood Products

Quality Wood Products was founded in 1996 by Rick Vogel and built on a reputation for custom church furniture, quality craftsmanship, and restoring worn pews back to life. For decades, churches have trusted the business to care for pieces that are not only functional but meaningful to the life of their congregation.

Today, that work continues under the ownership of Gary Jandereski.

Gary became connected to Quality Wood Products in May 2025 through Lisa Kenny and the SBDC while exploring the opportunity to purchase a business. After working alongside Rick, learning the process firsthand, and seeing the care that goes into each project, Gary recognized the opportunity to carry forward a business with a strong foundation and a meaningful purpose.

That transition has been intentional. Quality Wood Products has kept its top employees, continues to use the same proven restoration process, and remains focused on the craftsmanship, care, and reliability customers have come to expect.

For Gary, one of the most rewarding parts of the work is seeing a piece come into the shop worn down, damaged, or nearly beyond repair, then leave looking renewed and ready to serve again. The appreciation from churches and customers is a reminder that this work matters. It is not just about refinishing wood. It is about helping preserve the beauty, history, and purpose of pieces that belong to a larger story.

Continuing the Legacy

Under Gary’s leadership, Quality Wood Products is continuing to grow while staying rooted in what the business has always done well: restoring church furnishings, building custom wood pieces, and helping churches care for the woodwork they already have.

With the addition of a Church Wood Maintenance Program, Quality Wood Products is also helping churches take a more proactive approach to caring for their pews, sanctuary furnishings, and other wood pieces before full replacement or major restoration is needed.

As the business looks ahead, the goal is to expand capacity, serve more churches throughout the Midwest, and continue offering high-quality restoration and custom builds with the same attention to detail that has shaped the business since 1996.
